Solaris Laser IR Illuminator

Designed for those that need to see further and clearer, the Solaris will enable you to see and ID quarry at greater distances. It will greatly improve what you see through your Night Vision, making your image both clearer and brighter at a distance.

With more power per gram than any other IR illuminator, the Solaris is ultra compact and lightweight, and gives you unmatched power and image clarity with unbeatable battery life.

The improvements made to the mk2 model include the elimination of the dark spot. An overall improved quality of light and a wider beam to give you a larger, and more useable field of view.

The Solaris has three user selectable power levels, low power is 5%, medium power is 30% and high power is 100%. Power levels are easily controlled by the rear switch or the included remote pressure switch.

Specifications:

  • Weight: 170g
  • Length: 180mm
  • Body: 25mm
  • Wavelength: 850nm
  • Power: <500mw
  • Max Distance: 900 yards
  • Runtime: high 4.8h / med 16h / low 97h

Using the Solaris

The Solaris is suitable for all Night Vision devices, digital, tubed, dedicated and addons. Being a laser IR you can expect maximum performance and at times you may notice some minor patterning from the diode in the beam.

For the vast majority, the Solaris is best used with the beam set to flood. This will give you a wide field of view and the cleanest source of laser light.

If you use an addon and like to shoot at high magnification, then focusing the beam down to a tighter spot to increase brightness becomes very useful. The Solaris is capable of providing enough light to see a Fox clearly enough to take a shot at 300 yards on 24x mag!

I bought the solaris after seeing my mates to go with my X-sight HD 5-20, completely transformed it. Would HIGHLY recommend! (Posted on 24/10/2017)

If you're in any doubt about this item - don't be. Does exactly what it says on the tin. I have owned pretty much every illuminator over the years and this is at the pinnacle of current tech at a very keen price. Will probably outgun you for distance in all but the most extreme circumstances and I say in this in comparison to Milspec level items.
Just buy it! (Posted on 15/04/2017)
